A booking site that stopped losing patients at the calendar
A busy osteopath practice was losing new patients to an aging site where booking meant a phone call. A rebuild with real-time Cliniko booking embedded put live availability at the centre of the experience.

// challenge
The practice ran on an ageing website that did not talk to their practice management system. A visitor who wanted to book had to call the front desk or send a message and wait for a reply before they ever saw an available slot.
The booking path sat below several screens of copy, told visitors little about who they would actually see, and gave no visibility of real availability. Anyone browsing in the evening, when motivation is highest, had nowhere to go but a contact form.
The practice was not short of demand. It was losing patients to friction: the gap between someone deciding to book and the practice actually capturing that intent.
// approach
We rebuilt the site with a lightweight, fast-loading front end so it performed well on mobile connections in and around Cardiff, where most local patient searches happen.
The core of the rebuild was embedding real-time Cliniko booking directly into the site: actual open availability, bookable in the moment, with confirmations and reminders handled automatically by the practice management system rather than by front desk staff.
We restructured the booking path so it appears within the first screen on every service page, rather than being buried in a separate contact page, and rebuilt image delivery and font loading for speed.
// outcome
Booking moved from a phone-call-and-wait process to a self-serve flow that works at any hour. Confirmations and reminders now come automatically from the practice system, reducing the manual front-desk work around every appointment.
